Did you know…

Raymond Calitri, the main antagonist of 2000’s Gone in 60 seconds, was purposefully not written to have driving scenes in the film? This is because the actor playing him, Christopher Eccleston, at the time of the film, lacked a driver’s license and didn’t get one until years later. The actor didn’t have a lot of driving experience, at least not legally. He took his driving test at the beginning of 2004 which he passed. However, the drivers’ license that he was given came with restrictions; he was only allowed to operate automatic transmission vehicles.
Unlike Eccleston, the rest of the cast-mates in Angelina Jolie, Giovanni Ribisi, Scott Caan, Dilroy Lindo and of course the star himself Nicholas Cage all took performance driving courses at the same driving school in preparation for their roles in the movie.
Well, if you didn’t know, now you do!
